Interesting how the radar shows that band all the way into VA. I checked the 12K and 4K NAM and it doesn't have that band going so far south. Not that it will mean anything in regard to accumulation.

QUOTE
This period of light snow is in association with a strong warm front
ahead of low pressure moving east across Lake Superior. A wing of
strong warm advection and isentropic upglide ahead of the warm front
will be further enhanced by a 40 knot southwesterly low level jet.
The forcing and moisture coming together will produce a 4-6 hour
period of light snow moving from west to east across the area
through the first half of tonight. Expect accumulations of 2 to 3
inches in most areas, with local upslope flow producing around 4
inches total for the southern Tug Hill Plateau.

Don't believe any of that hit the ground. There was a report of a few flurries near Dulles (KIAD)

Some flurries in the valley.. the mountains have visibly faded a bit though.. still too dry in town.. maybe when that 20-25 dbz gets here the valley will enjoy a booker. smile.gif

After working some crazy hours I finally just used my last bit of energy cleaning the driveway and walkway from the foot we got yesterday, I had to break out the backhoe to get that wonderful icy layer that my truck plow skimmed over, now this 1 or 2" is salt in the wounds

Very light snow with the 20-25's rolling through. Looks like this is about over for this part of the state.

Would love to have one of those for this driveway here. . though the hill at end of driveway would be interesting, my luck i'd roll it. laugh.gif laugh.gif

Cold and windy here, at 20 degrees . .driveway 50% pavement showing so im happy. This quick little storm will make things slick. . roads are still pretty bad due to the wind and cold temps. Since we lost the sun roads have turned to a snow/ice mixture.
