New warning for southern Darke and northern Preble. Also there's an OFB in SE Preble/NE Butler moving into Montgomery. Might have to watch that for development.

I hope you guys get something good from the northern edge and then share the storms with me later this evening. biggrin.gif

All model guidance is just that, guidance. It is the responsibility of the forecaster to take that information, make it better, and appropriately communicate the improved forecast to users.

We live in a day and age where the quantity of model guidance is overwhelming, particularly within 24 hours of an event. We must remind ourselves that all models are wrong, but some are more useful than others.

Very nice rains... the perfect type to soak in outside with no lightning.

Could have popped just a bit sooner but yeah it was a nice one.

Got another strong storm today in Mason. Didn't beat yesterday's, but was pretty solid.

The relatively short notice of the MCS today (was in a marginal risk this morning when I checked last) is a reminder that we're in that time of year now... finally.

Today was the 5th day in a row where there was an enhanced risk in the US. Another enhanced risk tomorrow, and most likely another on day 3. Looking at 7, probably 8 days in a row of enhanced risk days.

Literally no tornado season this year, but maybe we'll have the derecho season?

I did start a thread for the severe out west since it's a new system.
