Look again. You're wrong. He says amounts.

It says average. That's a lot different than "Yes, this area will get 3", no doubt". I didn't see his font color at first.

I think you could have worded it better than "you're wrong", but I digress.

Henry has 3 inches of snow getting up to southern pa according to his blog.

source: http://www.accuweather.com/mt-news-blogs.a...r_the_storm.asp

I am going to have to disagree

His map doesn't indicate precip amounts; just areas that could receive precip of that type (snow vs ice).

EDIT: Didn't see his font color at first. However, throwing out averages doesn't mean this area will get 3"

message board looks like it shrunk down. Can't hardly read it. Is that on my end or are other people seeing that. IS there a solution to fix this problem?

Sorry to get off topic.

I dont understand what do the mods do , isnt it there job to weed out the bad apples,
they should fing out who wrote those nasty emails and pull their subscription,
Ive been reading Henries blogs for a while now and this really sucks, it was bad enough that he didnt have the same time as he used to now we cant read anything now
Whoever the ones are that did that to henry should be banned PERIOD
This isnt directed at the mods as i dont no the scope of what you guys can do
Ill miss Henry

The mods weed out the forum, not email accounts. Not everyone that emails Henry has a forum account. It's not required. Also, we don't have access to his email account. If we did, we would have to spend some time figured it out. A lot of the time the emails won't match. If the emails don't match, then we have to look at the IPs. Depending on the service provider it may be difficult.

I do feel for Henry as sometimes he gets so excited that he Wishcasts. He's blogs are entertaining to read but I think I for one, and maybe everyone, should take his posts for what they are.

Who cares if he "wishcasts"? He was going off the models that were days out. At the time a big storm was possible. If people don't understand that they should take predictions of storms that are days off with a grain of salt, then they need to stop following the weather. They should just stick to the 24 hour forecast on their local news channel.

He wants a big daddy and he saw on. We all know that things change. If you are bitter that the forecast has changed, then shame on you.

It's a Shame that Some People Act Nasty over a Storm

I had chance to read through the hundreds of emails and comments and it saddens me to see so many threats and hatred by people over a snowstorm. So the forecast went bad and went bad for many reasons, some which today, still baffles me. But to have people email me with the garbage that I have read really is not right at all. Quite, honest, it scares me to even post anymore and I really don;t want to post anymore given the shameful comments I have received. Therefore, I am taking a break from blogging about the weather.

That's really quite sad. He loves the weather and got excited about the models. Things changed (happens), and he got a bunch of heat about it. Unbelievable pathetic.

SOME main roads are decent, a co-worker coming from PG county said parts of 295 were HORRIBLE, not even salted. So it's hit or miss honestly. My ride wasnt bad, but it's snowing harder places south of the city, so I'd imagine it's hard for salt trucks to keep up.

Yeah, I have no idea what other main roads are like. The main roads in my commute were decent, though. 43, 695 and 83 were OK at 8:00-8:30

I'm at work in Hunt Valley, MD (Northern Baltimore County). Main roads are decent. Side streets leave a lot to be desired.

It's currently snowing. The grass is half covered.

Look at HM's latest post!...
"...LONG RANGE LOOKS VERY WILD FOR SNOW LOVERS IN THE EAST...

You folks in the Mid-Atlantic who have been starving for snow...well your wishes may come true this week. Remember when I said you need the arctic air in place to get good snows.. Well, here comes a surge of arctic air next week followed by a storm that could bring significant snows to areas from the Ohio Valley through the Mid-Atlantic. "

Starving really doesn't completely describe what we're going through over here. I hope it pulls together and comes through. But since it's five days out, I'll pretend I didn't read it.

Well he scoffed at the idea of precip reaching him at 5pm so I'm betting he was thinking 12 or before. He also though Philly, DC, and Baltimore would have school off today and personally I'm thinking they should head to school.

Maryland public schools are already closed because of the election. Not a big deal for those kids.

here is a qoute from JB

"Major icing event occurs in the piedmont from Virginia northeast to northern New Jersey where temps may never get above freezing even after the change over. "

with that said im making a snow map

Northern Baltimore County would be included in this, correct?

Anyone have thoughts regarding Maryland, specifically northern Baltimore County?

In Severna Park, MD? I don't think so....also 36 hours out you can see the warm front forming.

I would be shocked if Severna Park ended up with five inches (talk about a 180), but stranger things have happened.

We had 2" on Sat am it melted and we got another 1-1/2" today and it blew away. I'll take anything at this point. 3-5" would seem like a super storm this year!

Somebody shaking their head on the roof of my house with their dandruff falling to ground would be a super storm here.

I'm hoping to see some things change, but I'm doubtful.

Unfortunately, I think the Patriots are going to win. I'd rather see the Giants win though.

I hate watching the Patriots win. Jealousy? Maybe.

That should be good. I'm surprised it took them this long. There are others out on blu-ray that I think have less potential than this.

Pretty interesting stuff.

NASA is saying it's not a big deal. Others have crashed down before.
