Temperatures are easily going to bust on the low side today IMO... getting as far as 60 degrees in NYC and low-mid 60s in Philly-Boston. That's 20 degrees above average... Also interesting that it was exactly one day before this date 5 years ago that temperatures surged into the low 70s across I-95 despite it being January - that was the only time I ever remember going out with shorts and a T-shirt while doing everything I do in the middle of the summer but in January laugh.gif

On the plus side, I got to repair a collapsed water pipe to my pond feature. Dug it by hand, and it was super easy wink.gif Would normally have had to wait for spring most years.

Curious how many records break today. Islip, NY broke their record High temp at 11:12 this morning.

QUOTE
A RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 57 DEGREES WAS SET AT ISLIP NY TODAY
AT 1112 (LST). THIS BREAKS THE OLD RECORD OF 55 SET IN 2007.

Upton raised its forecast temps.

QUOTE
THE COMBINATION OF CLEAR SKIES AND INCREASED SW FLOW HAVE PUSHED TEMPS UP SEVERAL DEGREES HIGHER THAN FORECASTED...SO WILL GO AHEAD AND RAISE MAX TEMP FORECAST UP BY ABOUT 3-4 DEGREES AND ADJUSTED HOURLY TEMPS.

Yeah i'm sure most ski resorts, especially in the MA and NE, have had a good week for snow making since it was bitter cold and the nights are cold............but can't say they are having a great year...anywhere but maybe the Rockies...

Mine said 81.9 a little earlier, haha. Actual temperature is 63, which is already way above the low-mid 50s that were almost unanimously forecast for here.
