18z GFS has the storm riding up or just east of the apps but also appears to be on the warm side.

With that track, I think there would be enough cold air for snow, but I wouldn't want it to trend much further NW, which is something I did fear with this stomr as it originates from the GOM.

0z GFS rides up just east of the apps but looks good for much of Ohio. Good track to see at this point.

I think it's pretty safe to say that there will be some kind of storm the weekend of the 5th. The models have shown it for a while. Now, if we (Ohioans, at least wink.gif ) could get that bad boy to cut up the western spine of the Apps, we'd have our storm this year. That's a huge IF at this point, especially how the GFS has teased us all season.

Care to dumb it down a bit? I'm thinking it looks similiar to the current storm, but I'm hoping you're comparing it to a monumental storm.

I'm comparing it to this current storm. As it has two pieces in play, a PV and SW energy, just as this storm does.

I was really hoping you were going to say that it looks eerily similiar to the Blizzard of '78 or '79 set up.
