Dates need to be tweaked, and sometimes more than once in the D10+ lead time

That's the problem (if I can use that term) with opening threads beyond 10 days out - the timing of the systems is always so suspect at that much lead time.

Honestly, I think we're discussing the same potential as the thread was opened with - just the timing is delayed. No surprise here because the GFS always tries to rush the timing in it's med-long range, only to adjust as time goes on.

Looks like the same question for every winter , is when will the trof go negative .. looks interesting but will it be cold enough for snow if it does happen .
