Wow! Is that really a 1058mb high it's showing lol I wonder what the highest ever recorded is. During the Great Arctic Outbreak of February 1899 there was a high in the 1055 to 1060MB range coming down from Canada. http://www.srh.noaa.gov/images/bro/researc...tbreak_1899.pdf http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Blizzard_of_1899 |

That would be a good setup for a EC blizzard around the Saturday 2/11 timeframe. I think you would agree. |

I dont know if it would hit blizzard proportions since the pressure of theat Low is relatively high. So I don't think it would create high winds. But i won't be there by tomorrow anyway so no need to worry.

I have trust in this thread... not for a huge snowstorm but at least for some snow to accumulate possibly if everything goes right. This is in my time frame of Feb 5-15 for the snowstorm potential and if the set up is supportive, either this or a later/earlier storm could hopefully be it.

Posters (as Rocky) - Again? That trick never works. GFS (BW) - nothing up my sleeve (tears sleeve off jacket - reaches into hat) Presto! Hat: Lions head roars out of hat GFS (BW) - (stuffing lion's head back down into hat) Hmm, must be time for a new hat. Rocky - Hokey Smokes Bullwinkle! WOW. That would be a good setup for a EC blizzard around the Saturday 2/11 timeframe. I think you would agree. February 11 would be the 29th anniversary of the Megalopolis Snowstorm of 1983 http://www.network54.com/Forum/506030/thre...TORM+%281983%29 |

The funny thing is there are two lows that come up the coast between 2/10 and 2/13. -------------------- ![]() |

February 11 would be the 29th anniversary of the Megalopolis Snowstorm of 1983 http://www.network54.com/Forum/506030/thre...TORM+%281983%29 That is because it actually misses the phase that would make this thing a hurricane lol. Interesting for sure. I am liking the potential. |
