Our area had mostly sunshine yesterday as well. It only rained for 5-10 minutes with some gusty winds thrown in. I didn't even hear any thunder! We hit 29.5C yesterday.

4"/hour rates, pea sized hail, and 100kmph wind gusts with yesterday's storm. Looking ahead to Sunday record high temperatures likely.

I'm in Brampton Northwest and we got hammered. For 1-2 mins I was too busy running around locking windows to video. But As you can see from this picture somehow that play house jumped a good 15-18 ft . There was Zero indication that it rolled to that spot, looks like it was picked up and moved over.
Side of the house looked like it was being power washed with a firehose and the winds were nuts. I have to say it sure as heck felt like a microburst.

It was a mess all over residential areas in midtown Toronto today. Tons of tree branches had fallen on sidewalks and damaged power lines.

The weather was absolutely stunningly gorgeous today though. Not a cloud in the sky, cool temps and a nice light breeze. Perfect June day and my dream type of weather cool.gif rolleyes.gif

Fantastic day up this way, low 20's and pure blue sky. Warming trend begins tomorrow with temps moving up to around 25C with more sun. Weekend looks warm, humidity begins Saturday creeping into the low 30's, then likely hits 40C on Sunday. Monday it retreats down into the mid to high 30's.

Overall I will say I am liking the amount of sunshine so far over the past 6 weeks. I find at least 5/7 days overall we see decent amounts of sun which is so uplifting. Im also loving the long days with light until past 9pm.

Next week also looking warm from what Im seeing.

+3c and cloudy here this Friday afternoon, just a regular day this Spring, well we actually had our warmest days in April so far as the last 6 weeks have been terrible:

@BWalshNL
St Johns Airport has yet to record a 20C day in May 2018 or the first half of June 2018 (1st-15th); the last time this happened was in 1982 #nlwx

But there finally looks to a break to at least more seasonal to above normal at least as next week rolls on, even normals of around 16-17cc would feel like summer now, though not sure how long it will last though!

Another depressing stat:

@BWalshNL
The balmy high temperature today at St Johns Airport #YYT was 4.0C!
This marks the 4th time in June 2018 where the temperature failed to reach 5C
1997 was the only other time this has happened since records began at #YYT in 1942

Very confusing to the body really, basically the longest days of the year but so cold and gloomy,all you want to do is close the curtains, turn heat on and watch TV!

geez...I feel for you guys.
We've got a heat warning here. Hit 29 today, but looking like 33-35 the next two days. Lots of sun and humidity readings in the 40-45 range.

33*C feeling like 40 atm (humidex is higher). This is the hottest temperature I have recorded so far this year. Very muggy and awful out (dewpoint 25*C). High should max around this temperature today, but I wouldn't be surprised if tomorrow gets a little hotter.. maybe around 35*C, but we'll have to see when the thunderstorm activity arrives. It won't be much of a diurnal temperature range as the low tonight will be around 24*C.... which is pretty incredible for our region.

super hot muggy day today....nice breeze now though. Overnight low here downtown is pegged to briefly drop to 26 degrees by 6am with a humidex of 33. Then right back into the mid-30's with humidex readings in low to mid 40's tomorrow.
Current short range models miss us yet again with the storms, but a lot can change with such a volatile situation as we'll have with that cold front tomorrow. We really need rain.

Stunning weekend tho...no complaints!! Been outside all day today, thankful for huge shade trees in half the backyard.

Home stations are a different creature, stick with official EC stations as they are all calibered to the same format so everyone is on the same playing field.

downright dangerous and gross today....humidex was 44-45 IMBY most of the day. Just oppressive.
Backyard temp hit 35....EC on the harbour shore hit 33.
We were glanced by a few storms, but only totalled 5mm. Still, that's the most rain we've had at once in about a month.

Just came off three very warm days, the only location in the province to achieve 3 consecutive 30C+ days. Back to seasonal today, highs in the 23-25C range across Southern ON with lots of sunshine. Expect to see lots of sun tomorrow into Friday as well with highs all around the 25C mark.

Weekend not looking great right now with highs near 19-22C with showers. Friday night beginning in the SW and then spreading east into S/E ON for all of Saturday and Sat night is looking quite wet with a widespread 10-20mm rain for the region (much needed). Sunday expect clearing skies by afternoon but a brisk N wind.

The following few days (June 25th-27th) look to return to sunshine. Expect near seasonal temps to finish off June.
