Man you guys are argueing over the littlest thing.

I see redevelopment in western VA starting to come out of central WV. Also that band that is affecting maryland looks to be keeping steady with redeveloping keeping precip around.

I agree and you see this also on the pressure falls...that is what i am trying to point out. Its not about arguing its about getting the facts across of what is happening and what is being called for by the NWS and the guidance and the nowcasting.

That band frm wheeling is croossing the PA border, looks like it will reach the Shouth hills of Pgh in another 30-60 minutes. I like that these latter bands are slower.

Its funny we didnt even get a WWA issued haha go figure I thought we would atleast get that.

Should have been issued for entire Susquehanna Valley IMO.

6z Ruc develops the coastal around 3-4 am and that's when NYC and coastal areas get hit pretty good on the run.

Hmm, i thought u didnt really look at models when we are in nowcast mode?...Im finished for the night, we'll see whos ideas come to fruition.

When the guidance is all in agreement on a solution of where a low pressure is going and the radar and observations are confirming it..its kind of hard not to see it happening. I use models as guidance and the nowcasting to confirm whether the models are accurate or not...

Yeah I mean I can understand them not giving a wwa out for us giving they thought the storm would be weak. But even the local mets said like 1 or so inchs now Ill wake up at 6 if I do go to bed and they will say we have a 1 maybe to and we have 4.
The last big storm we had they said we had like 4.7 and another news station said 5.6 I live 5 minutes from the airport and 10 from the city. One reading was taken from airport and one from city. i saw on my snow stick 8.1 and measured 3 times averaged them together. Our local mets love to downplay totals all the time lol.

I still think 1-2 inches for the Baltimore area is going to be a "long shot" at best. Up here in Edgewood (20 miles North East of the city) we have just under 1/4 inch on the ground, it's snowing very very lightly and has been snowing at this rate for nearly 4 hours now, and again has only accumulated (under 1/4 inch) and according to the radar...it's going to remain VERY light in nature. I am thinking maybe 1/2 inch or so when all is said and done dry.gif

And a final thought for tonight (this morning) NWS still has a 70% chance of snow for me. It has been snowing for over an hour...go figure tongue.gif

I keep hearing about radar being down in WV - well its not been doing much of anything for hours. I even live in an upslope area and I have 1-2" and most of that came between 5-8pm.

According to NEXRAD radars, Precip in DC will be ending very shortly, at least for the time being.

Is it me, or is the coastal low redeveloping or even strengthening according to radar?
