Whoa - several lightning strikes very close to the office. One on the maps looks like it hit directly on our building. Some intense winds. Hail reported down by Paxtang where the warning mentions the cell being centered. Hardly any rain though.

Finally, posting a real radar, showing the actual intensity and the movement. Couldn't tell InAccuradar.

Now that I have my poop together looking at a real radar, seems like first batch is a swing and a miss to the north, hitting northern New Trip and riding the crest of the Blues. No idea on the rest.

Here come a couple rogue cells from my northwest, while I'm still under completely full sunshine. Hmmm. I guess not a good time to work on the pitch and putt game in the BY? MDBR? Any thoughts?

I'll have to check HRRR for parameter of dynamics but suspect there is large CAPE with not quite enough lift to make this more of a scene.

Perfect time for pitch and put. Make sure you practice with full swings so club gets to highest possible point. Also ensure you're in an open area.

We're on our second thunderstorm for the day here in east-central PA. The first one packed a fair punch, with heavy rain, gusty winds and nickle-sized hail. The second one has a little lightning, but some pretty heavy rain again. Although, the second storm had the closest lightning. A quick flash/boom scenario that caught me off guard laugh.gif

OK - there's a clearing atop UTS Hill for just such a purpose.

As always, all tips appreciated. wink.gif

Looks like storms starting to form over Philly and just to the east in NJ again, maybe these will make it up here this time, they appear to be moving a bit quicker to the N/NE.

Finally getting some good rains. Absolute downpour outside. Yankee game got delayed after the catcher could hardly see the pitcher anymore (Exaggerated)

Might get over an inch with this.

Ok so the storm just moved on. It sat over me for over an hour. Wow that had to be one of the hardest rains I've seen. All my windows are soaked!

Temp went from 87F to 68F

Rumbles started at around 1pm and it's been picked up later in the afternoon with steady, very close range rumbles all around us for the two hours, but still haven't seen a drop of rain...just one of those days....

My inner weather geek wanted to record so badly but I was risking flooding my camera. Got some footage and it survived the soaking. Win-Win

Edit: This was the result of the storm. Huge puddles!

Just got back to the office from the field, it looks as though we had a micro burst in E Hanover - started near the police station / cemetery across the street and fanned out in a pretty decent circle, lots of trees down in fairly strait pattern from the epicenter. E hanover def took the brunt of wind damage, we have lots of area's with tree damage / wire damage.
