Wonder how long this ridge can stay in place and give us this dry weather. Will it be like what the East coast had last year, where it was dry until Fall or Winter?

The depiction of the western ridge is quite different between the 00z Euro and GFS in the 8-10 day period. Euro has lower heights near and along the coast while the GFS is much more enthusiastic about the strength of the ridge in western NA.
