Was in Warren tonight, left there at 8:30, not a flake to be seen. 5 minutes later, white knuckle driving with the snow chunken' down. Got back to Hiram @ 9:30 with 2.3" on the ground. Hopefully, the current action over Clev shifts/expands east and we end up with a nice event.

Hey Accuweather! Please send us our very own Great Lakes, Ohio Valley, Midwest blogger. Heck, with the Lake Effect alone, our winters can be more interesting than many other locations around the country not to mention the synoptic snowfalls.

2" on the ground here in Austintown. The band over Lorain/Medina counties definitely looks like lake effect, but the snows east of Cleveland, stretching from Chardon to Ravenna looks to be synoptic-ish and I'm hoping it hold together to reach here.

CLE's disco. Nice to cover yourself CLE laugh.gif I don't know, that is a pretty potent band for a non-favorable Snowbelt area. I'll be interested to read the totals tomorrow morning.

LATEST RADAR LOOKS TO FINALLY BE SHOWING SOME
DECREASE TO THE COVERAGE AND INTENSITY OF THIS PATCH OF SNOW. BASED
ON THINKING THAT THIS TREND OF DECREASE FOR THE CENTRAL LAKE SHORE
WEST OF CUYAHOGA COUNTY WILL CONTINUE...WILL NOT ISSUE A HEADLINE
FOR LORAIN AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES SO AS TO NOT CONFUSE THE PUBLIC
INTO THINKING THAT A LOT MORE SNOW IS STILL TO COME.
AS REST OF
NIGHT PROGRESSES...WILL CONTINUE TO SEE A SHIFT EAST IN THE SNOW
SHOWERS SO THAT AFTER MIDNIGHT MOST OF THE ACCUMULATING SNOW SHOULD
BE IN THE SNOWBELT.

Around 1" early Saturday here in Mishawaka, IN. Our one local Met kept up the call for 4"-8" as late as 11 pm last night but I could tell from the path and intensity we wouldn't approach that here(Pitching to deprived snow lovers?). I told the wife I would be surprised to see another 2" and at this point we're sitting at .5".

On the flip side, I'm curious to see the numbers from the SW part of our county as it seems they received the brunt of it today around here and I wouldn't be surprised to see their totals in the predicted range.

LE: Location, location, location.

Only about another 1" overnight here for a total of 3. Looks like there are still some nice bands west of me and be interested to see their overnight totals. Glad we got an LS Advisory issued in the wee hours of the morning, I'm sure it helped a lot of people. laugh.gif

Received 2" more here in Austintown for a total of 4". Still lightly snowing too.

I also noticed that CLE issued a Lake Effect Snow Advisory at some point overnight.

Final total was 5.7". I will say that it is unfortunate this was such a short event and only about 12-18 hours long. With the parameters we had, if this event were a couple of days long instead of 12 hours long, we probably would have been measuring the snow in feet not inches. Doesn't surprise me though as it just hasn't been that kind of year. Second down snow year in a row. Had time to take a pic or two..
