Agreed, looking at the wind predictions, going to swing round and hit Barrie central and North for several hours from about 3pm to 2.00am. Just at freezing at the moment, but will get colder as the afternoon wears on. Expecting 15-20 here. I think the NAM 3k got this wrong on this occassion.

Or not. Had about 7cms so far, if the models are right, should get another 5-10 overnight.

I think oro Orillia Midland and Hillsdale will do best.
I don't imagine Barrie getting anymore snow off this squall, seems that way anyways.
The frustration part is living in Barrie seeing a squall in the clouds and it teasing you like I suppose is happening.

Works both ways. I've sat in my living room looking out on our sunny backyard while I can see an ugly black mess roils across the sky less than a km away for a few hours. Another time we woke up to 45cms, and there was nothing more than 5 cms 3kms either side!

I'm going back with the NAM 3k...will be a couple of decent squalls pass across in the early hours and gjve us another 5-10cms, but yes Orillia will do better (it often does, they get over 3m a year we get 2.4m).

Lots of action coming in off of Huron today . Goderich to Kincardine and inland 100km seem to be hardest hit today. I don't have eyes in that area but by the looks of the radar today I would say an easy10-15cm . Some of those northern squalls are hitting me in North Dufferin

My house in South Barrie has received 10cm since last night. It's a winter wonderland here! Looks like a band is currently consolidating over Grey County down into Dufferin County and should move east tonight setting up between Wasaga and Midland towards Barrie and Orillia corridor.

Have a nice 1-2cm coating on all surfaces here in north Richmond Hill. Was expecting just flakes, so anything accumulating is good to see.
