I am 20 and I need a job. I am a freshmen in college and I do not like working at the mall because I don't get any hours. Does anybody have any job suggestions?

Try an administrative assistant position. They generally pay fairly well and only require a measure of organizational and communication skills. -------------------- ~♥Chubby kids don't pole vault♥~ Skinemax...just because... <(.^<) <(^.^)> (>^.)> |

Try Security...it is very good for people who go to school. You get paid decent, the job doesn't really require any special skills, and they have tons of schedules that fit your school schedule

Try delivering pizza or waitering at a restaurant. These are good college jobs because you can get night hours while going to school during the day and you can make decent money if you are charming enough to get good tips. -------------------- My Winter 08/09 Snow Tally: 29.1"

Restaurants are always scouting for new hires. Try waiting tables or being a cook. Both are generally good paying jobs for someone like yourself.

If you can, try and find a job that is affiliated with your major. If not, maybe check into something like a callcenter or library where it pays well and you aren't over worked. Maybe check for a work study at school where you can work on campus or get your foot in the door with a company.
Working as a waiter/cook could be alright but I personally feel you are under paid for what you do on a job like that. Plus you could get burned out really fast working hard (even if it's parttime), going to school full time which means alot of hours doing homework and studying. I go to school fulltime, work parttime in a call center, and I work parttime at the library at the school through workstudy. |
