QUOTE(stusson @ Apr 11 2012, 01:36 PM) *
From what I gather, over several months, all direct sales associates throughout the enterprise made their best effort toward eligibility for a final selling round of the finalists, to be arranged at the corporate office; it took place a couple months ago. It eventually came down to a handful, with the awards for first, second and third top sellers. The awards were a Mustang, a chunk of cash, and a shopping spree at a mall. The two top placers are in this center where I work.

The Mustang winner has been here 16 months.

Pretty funny! The Indians around the corporate center (not where I am) are most likely Apache, Arapaho, Cheyenne, Pueblo, Shoshone, or Ute; the center being in _ _ _ COLORADO!

If that is a car dealership that is pretty fantastic! My son recently went to work
for a Ford dealership in Florida and is doing quite well. He actually enjoys selling
cars!

Not in the slightest related to car sales, it's satellite television service.

In horse racing three races are considered the Triple Crown - The Kentucky Derby, The Preakness and the Belmont Stakes -

In 1922 the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness were held on the same day - thus there could never have been a Triple Crown Winner in 1922.

The last Triple Crown Winner was in 1978, when Affirmed battled and beat Alydar three straight times.
Seattle Slew won the Triple Crown the year before in 1977, and Secretariat was dominating in all 3 races in 1974...It has now been 33 years without another Triple Crown winner...

And the 'talk' at the time was that the Triple Crown was too easy to attain and that 'something' had to be done.

The only 'boots on the ground' military action in Japan by US forces was when the crew of a US submarine went ashore and blew up a Japanese supply train - the only submarine to 'sink' a train.

The lowest temperature ever recorded at the surface of the Earth was −89.2 °C (−128.6 °F) at the Soviet Vostok Station in Antarctica July 21, 1983.

There is a fresh water lake underneath a segment of the Antartic ice.
