Mount Washington may experience Tropical Storm like conditions tonight and tomorrow. On top of all that, its only gonna be between 35 and 40 degrees. This post has been edited by diiiiilooooch: Aug 30 2009, 10:39 PM |

Mostly sunny, with a high near 40. Northwest wind 31 to 41 mph, with gusts as high as 50 mph. When do you see tropical storm conditions with mostly sunny skies and highs close to freezing? |

This is the funniest thing I found in the forecast: When do you see tropical storm conditions with mostly sunny skies and highs close to freezing? The tropical storm wording refers to the wind and only the wind. They should not use that wording though with a system that is non-tropical though... |

Its weird that they do that because they don't do this in the winter time and we have winds that are at tropical level. Oh well never made sense... -------------------- Tylor

Really par for the course on Mt. Washington though, winds like that are like nothing up there. -------------------- ![]() |

agreed It must have been a typo. Although they don't have a lot of these typos, there are still a few times when typos do happen. If I remember correctly, I think that sometime around May this year, NWS Upton mentioned freezing rain in the forecast with lows in the lower 50s. |
