This is from one of Detroit's radio station. Most definitely, they'll start playing 100% christmas music on Nov 2 like every year. I'm ready!

I am not a Christmas music lover. I can't handle it. Most of the travel agencies I talk to have the Christmas music going starting about the week before Thanksgiving. The worst ones by far are the ones who play the Carribean Christmas. It's like Steel Drum Beethoven. Even if we don't have calls on hold, I will only hold for them for the 2 minute minimum I'm supposed to give so I can get off the line!

Streaming Xmas music already, huh? Wow, that ain't right! The radio station I listen to has the common decency to wait until Thanksgiving passes by.

It seems like it starts earlier and earlier every year. *sigh* By the time the holiday actually gets here I end up so sick of Christmas stuff I don't even want to celebrate. It's gotten better since I gave up television but it's still overwhelming being marketed to that much. I have that complaint every year though, nothing new. Maybe I should make an effort to stay away from all commercial things this year and I'll enjoy it more. Is that even possible?

Ok, this is getting rediculous. Halloween isn't even over yet and everyone already has christmas stuff for sale. My wife and I went shopping for halloween decorations the very beginning of the month. We found it in the isle right next to the christmas stuff. It's still 2 mo away. Why do they feel the need to pressure us into these holidays earlier and earlier every year? When I start hearing christmas music at the beginning of november, by the time christmas gets here I'm ready to stuff the radio with c-4 if I have to hear little drummer boy one more time. What happened to christmas music not starting until at least the beginning of december? I remember when I was a kid that that was how you knew christmas was almost here without looking at a calendar. I'm just waiting for them to start playing it in july next year..

The worst was working at the mall in college....the stores were decorated and holiday music playing from opening to close by Columbus Day every year. -------------------- ![]() |

I love Christmas music, don't get me wrong. But yes, there's got to be a limit to when the stores start playing it. I think the casino I work at starts the day after Thanksgiving.

Stations in Kansas City, Tulsa, and St. Louis have flipped over to the Christmas format. Kansas City even has 2 Christmas stations to choose from.
