It appears there could be another storm affecting the region in this time frame. The 18z shows a strong apps runner. I think this time frame needs to be watched.

12z ensembles show a weak wave of energy moving through then, but there is a reason why it is the only model that goes out this far into the future ...

on to the next fantasy storm laugh.gif we will get there eventually..maybe this one will be the one. i think our odds are better with this one than the previously discussed storms though because of the progression of the other two that prime the atmosphere in front of this, we should get some cold-air down after they pass..

I like it, the cold air doesnt expand and force the storm to the coast and the storm has open access to the gulf. The High off the east coast makes me think possible GLC. But thats way too far out to tell right now.

This storm also re-enforces the huge trough and cold air dome over the middle of the county, mid to late January temps in early december.

prob not a bad idea. i went back and looked at one particular long-range solution for the op GFS and the current solution as we get closer is not even close. in other words, the GFS is not so hot right now.

A real cold solution with this one. Temps look cold..but this one is way to far out 7-10 days. who knows it could be a 50 degrees with rain.

I don't usually talk about storms this far out but this one kinda makes sense. I know it is far out but there is going to be a lot of cold air with the storm to work with as many pieces of energy keep sucking down all this cold air and reinforcing the trough. Also if you look at it this sucker is going to have a lot of moisture with it and also look at the differences in temperatures in this storm, it really makes a powerhouse storm like this make sense and reminds me alot of a March snowstorm. This is certainly one to watch but I'm not going to make any crazy predictions on it yet
