Well, based on the radar, you can clearly see the storm has started and some people have reported light snow, sleet, or rain, so I am starting an Oberservation Thread. A mod can close the other thread.
Anyways, Light rain here in East Atlanta Suburbs.....37 degrees. -------------------- Winter of 2010-201(Better then last season by far!)

The official airport obs haven't shown a thing, though it's starting to get pretty heavy on radar so I'm not surprised people here are reporting it.

Marietta, Ga. is at 38 degrees right now which is our low for today, our high is 46 degrees and I dont see that happening since the temps have been dropping since 10am (39 degrees). So if our high was supposed to be 46 and we only get to 38 degrees should we expect to dive tonight or will this be just another 33 degree rain flood?
Now dropped to 37 degrees. Can someone explain to me why we have rain and 37 degrees and others have snow/sleet at 37 degrees? Is it the upper air temps? Seems like Atlanta never gets frozen precip unless temps are 32 and under but other places do. -------------------- I wanna be a redneck hippie!!!

Mother in law called a minute ago and said it was sleeting/snowing pretty good up there at her house, we have a few sleet pellets here and there at our house in the southern part of the county right now.

teeter-tottering between 35 and 36 degrees here in Alpharetta GA with a cold wet rain... looks interesting up in N GA on radar. Family called and said they are seeing snow/sleet mix. Projected high today for us was 44 and a projected low of 38. Well, not gonna make that high and already beat the low. Possible for temps to fall and get some frozen precip down this way? Thoughts?

34 with a dewpoint of 24 in Asheville (airport). Check me, but I believe that puts our wetbulb between 30.5 and 31. Forecast high was anywhere from 40-45. I usually take the airport's reading with a grain of salt, but with the consistent cloud deck today, it's probably a fairly accurate reading for S Buncombe and N Henderson counties. Nothing happening yet.

It could be short lived as more moisture pours in, the temps will probably rise to the 40's maybe they were forecasting the highs for 10/11 pm tonight? OR The temps may stay around freezing and it may snow/sleet/frzn rain all night and tomorrow. I personally am leaning more towards the warm up brought on by WAA from the gulf moisture though.
