Been so focused on storm #1, haven't really been following #2. Anybody put out a recent map, tried to check Accuweather's website but it wouldn't load for me? Waded through the non-sense posts on the short term thread, but couldn't handle going through them for long. Man people are getting snippy on this storm.
Anyway appreciate in advance some thoughts and maps and not just jabs at one another. -------------------- Winter '12-'13 Winter Storms of Significance (>4")

looking at the current radar, youre right it does look further north and jucier, also looks warm. almost would be worried about rain starting in DC and especially east of DC any minute now.

NWS is really holding out....... http://www.erh.noaa.gov/er/phi/ Truly is amazing isn't it, I believe they are doing it to prove a point. Good luck to them, but god help em if it backfires and someone wasn't ready for lots of snow and wind. I keep imaging the day where all these models and the ideals we have of them royally backfires and burns a lot of people. Seems like with each storm that time is getting closer and closer and closer. |

looks like any intital precip from the storm will be liquid for DC/Baltimore, temps are in the low to mid 40s in these areas. It will be when the low retrogrades that these areas could see some snow.

Yea, doesn't this storm begin in about 6 hours in NNJ? I would expect warnings up by now with the amounts they are predicting. |
