Unfortunately nothing. I'll be at school until 10 and then I gotta be at work at 7 tomorrow morning. I did some celebrating over the weekend though. I'm not wearing any green either (can't really wear any because of the fact I have to wear a uniform).

Man, I'm not doing too well celebrating my heritage.

The most overrated holiday ever! Its a joke and it promotes drinking and driving. mad.gif 90% of americans dont know the meaning behind this Irish holiday. People laugh at us on how elementry we are and weak minded to get drunk on a day like this... its not even our holiday.

Worst holiday ever: Sweetest Day
Created by American Greetings (HQ in Cleveland) in order to sell greeting cards and candy
It's basically Valentines day part II for Ohio... mad.gif

I am stuck in training. I'm getting trained on stuff that I already know. We were given like 1 hour to learn stuff, and it took me 10 minutes.

Also, I am forever exempt from getting pinched on St. Patrick's Day because I have 2 green tattoo's. I deliberately don't wear green on this day. If anyone tries to pinch me, they are going to get kicked.

I forgot about Sweetness day but its still not worse then St.Patricks day. It doesnt require to get "wasted" and then get on the road.

I love holidays, breaking up the monotony of the same routine is great
But yeah, too many holidays are centered around drinking or shopping, it's pretty depressing.
Mardi Gras, New Year, Halloween, St Patty's...

What are your opinions on New Years and Fourth of July? Just as much drinking and driving (if not more) happens on those holidays as well. In Ireland St. Patty's has nothing to do with drinking. They go to church and all the pubs and liquer stores are closed. St. Patty's is a religious holiday. Here in america it is a celebration of the largest ethnic group in america. More americans have Irish heritage than any other ethnic group. The drinking portion is a result of the stereotype that the Irish are drunks. Each person has their own responsibiliy about thier actions on March 17th. Same as any other holiday.

I myself will head home after work. Head to the bar across the street from my apartment. Have a single green beer and a single Guiness, and a single Irish car bomb. I will say goodnight to my friends, walk home, spend some time with the girl before bed, and then go to bed. This is pretty standard for my St. Patty's day and I am extremely proud of my Irish heritage.
