So my wife and I went to camp this week for two days, we went 4 wheeling the first afternoon and it was great, except when it's 50 outside and your going 30 on a 4 wheeler it's kinda cold!! Stopped at the dam on on the way back to camp and I caught a 14" trout on the first cast!! We went fishing the next day and caught 12 Salmon and one big trout (17"). Never had game fishing this good!! Thursday morning I was going back up to camp to do some work and stopped to fish for a bit, caught the biggest trout of my life, 19" 2.93lb Rainbow, it was fantastic!! didn't know if I would get him in but I did, thank's to my wife making me bring the net the day before so I had it in the truck and brought it down with me and had it ready!!

I'm up ta camp now, lets see, 2.5lb rainbow on Monday, 18" 2lb salmon yesterday (these are the fish I kept, I caught lot's more but you can only keep one, that's why they are big), and I'm going back to bed for another hour and a half then of to the dam for today's catch in the rain, but at least it's warm out. The amazing thing is in the spring this place is loaded with fishermen and now the fishing is 5 times better and no one is here!!

Santa Cruz and Monterey Bay fishing have been much better this year, last year barely any days were given to Salmon fishermen. Crab season (dungeness) is coming soon.

Love the trout - hate the snow!! Your poor grill looked so pitiful with the snow on it. It brought a tear to my eye...

Been here at work now for 9, 12 hour nights, at least 6 more nights to go, maybe 12 more depends how things startup.
 Picking vacations for next year tonight, 7 weeks off next year and paid for #8 (so many vacations they make us sell one cause they ain't enough weeks in the year)

The daily limit is 10! Dungeness crabs per person. Six is the limit when fishing from a commercial, or "party boat", fishing vessel (south of Mendocino county). -------------------- Perception is everything
