Look at the remnants of Agatha right over the western Caribbean already.
And hey, it's looking pretty nice there, IMO. If I were in charge of the NHC concerning the invests, I would at least mark that area as the yellow hatched area. One never knows. The GGEM and the GFS had shown that area developing into something deeper, with the GGEM being too intense as it usually does. -------------------- |

Looks like Alex forming just South of the Yucatan in the Western Carribean Sea! What impact would this have on the oil spill if it heads that way?

I've noticed some banding features starting to form. Maybe reorganizing itself.

Carribean Satellite Looks to be moving due north Steering currents would support this northward movement.... And to its north.... Shear of 30 knots or greater.. So presently with moving in the direction it seems to be moving would be moving into a buzzcut so not expecting much of anything presently out of this. |

I agree it looks pretty nice, and good call on the code yellow. Maybe you will be in charge of invests one day QUOTE TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK NWS TPC/NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL 800 AM EDT TUE JUN 1 2010 FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO... INTERMITTENT SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN THE NORTHWESTERN CARIBBEAN SEA EAST OF THE YUCATAN PENINSULA ARE ASSOCIATED WITH THE REMNANTS OF PACIFIC TROPICAL STORM AGATHA. UPPER-LEVEL WINDS...PARTICULARLY TO THE NORTH OF THE SYSTEM IN THE GULF OF MEXICO...ARE NOT CONDUCIVE FOR DEVELOPMENT AND THERE IS A LOW CHANCE...10 PERCENT...OF THIS SYSTEM BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS. THIS SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO MOVE LITTLE OVER THE NEXT DAY OR SO.

They actually did it. Good for them. Right on the first day of the Hurricane season 2010. At this point and time not expecting anything to happen with Invest 91 as far as making it to a tropical cyclone..Although the dry air is not the problem at this point and time..The current shear off to its N or NE increases significantly... And current satellite And the steering currents would take it off to the NE |

So it don't look too promising. It will probably move across Fla. and off the coast OTS and fizzle out. But there is always a possibility it could make a comeback tomorrow or thursday, fighting off the shear and move up along the southeast coast. It will still be interesting to see what happens. |

Reply would be appreciated. Thank you. Yeah, it's done for because the 12Z GFS and NAM do not have it any more. -------------------- CURRENT IEM/OEM SET: Meelec M6(MSRP $49.99), VSonic GR06 (MSRP $49.99), Meelec CC51(MSRP $80), Beyerdynamic DTX 910 (MSRP $89.99), Future Sonics Atrio X (MSRP $99.99),Ultrasone HFI-450 (MSRP $119.99), JVC HA-FXT90 (MSRP $135.00)

Really dying out Next! This disturbance was never really in a favorable environment for tropical formation. It did look better earlier today, though it's definitely weakening by now. Hopefully the next disturbance is in a more supportive environment. -------------------- Visit my weather website for the NYC area
