I know it's 15 days out, but does anyone know why it's doing this?

It's for the JFK International Airport area.

I find this funny, but at the same time I'm confused.

Apparently the 12 Z GFS brings some really hot air into the region..however..as is per usual its the long range GFS and its ensembles would not agree with what the operational is suggesting

This question was posed to Jesse on his Facebook page, Jesse thinks its a bug that should correct itself on later runs.

Looks like a glitch, but they probably fixed it. I checked my 15-day forecast and nothing seems unusual about it.

Although not as extreme as that forecast had shown, Death Valley may make it into the low 120's this weekend. Check out the thread on the CA heat wave. wink.gif

I know the issue of the 15 day forecast has been brought up a ton of times, but man is it pretty useless past 10 days. But Jesse basically said- hey the people want it, so accuweather gives it to them

Yep, Sahara desert is the hottest place on earth. Recording 136F in the town of Al-Aziziya in Libya. Death Valley recorded 134F, so it's not that far behind wink.gif
