Big news, folks. AccuWeather has added the FULL ECMWF model on our AccuWeather.com Professional site at no additional cost! That's right, it's the model more accurate than the GFS that you can't find anywhere online!
Track hurricane pressure and snow amounts for the next 10 days with a more accurate model! If you're already a subscriber just click on ECMWF under Models/Worldwide. If you're not already a member try a 30-day free trial today! ONE IMPORTANT NOTE FOR FORUMS: In exchange for us offering this service, we need you to help keep the cost of AccuWeather.com Professional low by not redistributing these maps anywhere, including posting them here. Even our meteorologists at AccuWeather.com are restricted from displaying the maps on (the ad-supported) AccuWeather.com because of our contract with our data provider. Here are the variables (even Snow & CAPE!), regions and hours available so far. SKEW-Ts and the "previous run" are also available. There is no delay on this data outside of normal model processing time. Let us know what else you want to see and we will consider adding it. Post suggestions or questions right here in this thread.

Nearly ten years ago, I helped AccuWeather.com launch our AccuWeather.com Professional service. I am now proud to announce the biggest upgrade since then: The full ECMWF model! That's right, it's the most accurate worldwide computer forecast model that you can't get anywhere else. In the world of meteorological data, the playing field is pretty flat, with a couple of notable Read the full article This would take out so much confusion in the all important winter storm forecasts for the average person...and I do like the sound of having the same data as Pro Mets. To me, it's this new addition that makes AccuPro become 10X more valuable than otherwise. It was a great resource when I used it under the 30 day trial, but I never before had a pull to actually purchase it because it is a high yearly cost...but when you add the king of models and all of it's inner workings, for no additional charge, that price is much more worth the package. Jesse, are you offering the plots in real time? Or will it be on a delay? Thanks!

Jesse, are you offering the plots in real time? Or will it be on a delay? Thanks! Real-time, no delay outside of the normal model processing time that you'd see with any model. Here is a video from Joe Bastardi talking about why he uses the model:

Yayyyyyyyy it's finally happening. It had been such a suspense. Good thing it has happened. It's the best addition to Accuweather Pro ever. Jesse, I believe it would be great to add: (If possible, of course)
Those are a few of the more used parameters by our members I can think of now that I did not see included. Addicionally, reminder the person in charge of dealing with ECMWF addition to the Pro site models page, to also include it to the Animator as well. -------------------- |

BTW... I think we should pin this to the Current Weather Section. That would probably help with getting more people to see this and potentially get more buyers. Considering this has been added for no additional costs is simply amazing. -------------------- i was lclicking on it going pelasejk not nicki minaj m-please not micni minaj hughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh |

It is indeed. It looks amazing. Really nice to playing with and checking all the parameters. Another thing I want to see is total QPF. That would be extremely helpful. Along with the plain MSLP like you mentioned. BTW, will this be added to The Animator as well? -------------------- i was lclicking on it going pelasejk not nicki minaj m-please not micni minaj hughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh |

Yep total QPF would be great too. As for as the animator, I do think it will be added there. The old incomplete ECMWF is there, so I guess it's just a matter of someone adding the full one there. I have posted its addition to the animator on the Moderators section, so Jesse can see it. -------------------- |

I looked more closely, and the Sea Level Pressure Rainbow parameter is there already. But it's named Mean Sea Level Pressure. -------------------- |

I thought I saw MSLP on Jesse's first post but missed it on the actual page. On its own site the 12Z run usually updates between 2:55PM EDT and 3PM EDT. On the Accu Pro site it updated around 3:22PM as per the info on it. So at least on this first run on Accu Pro, it took about 20 minutes for it to be updated once the full data was updated at the ECMWF site. -------------------- |

Thanks guys, I'll compile the variable requests such as QPF for a couple days here and then ask if they can be made available.

The CAPE output data maps are very cool.
It will be so nice to have access to these when forecasting severe weather events! -------------------- |
