For the year of 2010:
90+ degrees: 20 days (5 consecutive) - up to and including 7/7 100+ degrees: 3 days (all of them consecutive) In a rather strange comparison, 2009 had only 4 days above 90 degrees up to July 7th. Then that record is gonna be impossible to break at this rate. If Upton's forecast verifies, it's easily going to be tied or broken (though I doubt it) ![]() Their whole 7-day forecast has temperatures above 90 degrees, and including the last 4 days (Sat-Tues) which had 90+ degrees, it would make it 11 days of consecutive 90+ degrees. |

I'm gonna talk to some of the people of the NWS in Upton by next week because I'm wondering why they are sometimes going a bit too far when it comes to their long range forecast. |

One. JUST one.
And this is Southern California we're talking about. ![]() The record amount of 90F+ days we've seen by July 9 here was 35 in 2000. The record lowest was just 6 in 2005, but 2010 has now broken that record. -------------------- Temecula Seasonal Precipitation 2015-2016: 6.71" (-0.38") Normal to-date precipitation: 7.09" Season began July 1st, 2015.
