Hey guys... a new alarmist's breed.

C'mon... Did'nt it start in 1999 after the huge and overwhelmint 1998. Oh no, i forgot they push that to 2005. The oOps, it was to be 2010, then 2011. And now we're in 2014.

OK, don't forget, the world ends in 2012 ...

Added : you should have add that it was at the Heartland Institute's Fourth International Conference on Climate Change. We would have start laughing earlier.

This Russian scientist was right about the eep solar minimum when all the other scientist said we would have record high solar activity. Do you have any source to discount what he is saying? Source Please

Which paper did he publish this prediction in?
Which scientific method did he use to determine it?
Has he used the same method for his latest prediction?

Without answers to these he is just someone who guessed right. You don't need a source to discount what he is saying, a rational person will look at his data and method and determine if it is credible. Have you got this for what he is saying? If not the the sensible thing is to discount what he is saying and will still be even if he just happens to guess right.

Ok, this is even MORE ridiculous then trying to claim that CO2 is driving climate change.

An ice age is not going to occur (at least not for a long time) and even though the cold PDO cycle will cool the earth over the next 30 years or so before it warms back up, it will not be any sort of an ice age. Some places will get warmer, some cooler. Some more precip, some less.

If you really believe an ice age is going to occur in 2014, then what are you doing on the computer? Start heading south, constructing a sturdy shelter, and gathering a lot of resources, because you're gonna need them.

--------------------
Average snowfall: 81 inches
2007-2008 snowfall: 102 inches
2008-2009 snowfall: 71 inches
2009-2010 snowfall: 47 inches
2010-2011 snowfall: 99.5 inches
2011-2012 snowfall: 58.5 inches
2012-2013 snowfall: 78 inches
2013-2014 snowfall so far: 40 inches

Coldest temp of 2013-2014 winter so far: -15 F

Total snowfall 2013-2014 season:
October: None
November: 1 inch
December: 31 inches
January: 8 inches

I kind of have to agree with you, MaineMan. But I still think that co2 warming is more ridiculous than this! tongue.gif

A new "Little Ice Age" could begin in just four years, predicted Habibullo Abdussamatov, the head of space research at St. Petersburg's Pulkovo Astronomical Observatory in Russia.

Headline ("New Ice Age to begin in 2014") is misleading. The scientist predicts another period similar to the Maunder Minimum in the late 17th century.

Wouldn't it be known as Little Ice Age 2?

I get confused with all of these sequels, tell me when the movie comes out.
