Getting to be that time of year again with the football season right around the corner in about 1 month. This will be the 3rd season of NFL Pick'em here on the Accuweather Forums. In each of the 1st 2 seasons, we have kept the league right here in the thread, and not outsourced to one of the online leagues (I.e ESPN, Yahoo! etc.). I wouldn't mind handling the standings again for a 3rd season if that's what everyone wants, or we can take it to an online site, it's up to you guys.
A couple advantages to keeping the league right here include: 1) Some people are firewalled from other sites like ESPN and Yahoo!, and otherwise wouldn't be able to play unless it's done right here. Just so happens that last year's winner was 1 of these persons. 2) Customizable rules. Take it away! And we'll see where we go from here. I guess Im in the minority but I like it outsourced. It is a real pain when you post your picks here and then try and find that post when you want to check your picks. Plus it allows people not to see other picks when making their own.

When we 1st started playing, the idea of everyone being able to see your picks was a concern of mine, but everyone seemed to think it would be okay for the regular season. We definately need to continue with the playoff picks being posted outside the thread though, for sure. Looks as though the overwhelming consesus is to keep it here in E.E by virtue of 76.47% of the vote. Barring any major upheaval over the decision to keep it here in E.E., I think we've settled on the home for a 3rd season.
