Welcome to the forum.
I collect coins, not too seriously, but I have had some of them over 45 years. Your brown fan is just like the one in my house since 1979. Still runs great |

Welcome to the forum. I collect coins, not too seriously, but I have had some of them over 45 years. Your brown fan is just like the one in my house since 1979. Still runs great does your brown fan has that same "U" shaped blade arms like mine? emersons have different models/style that uses those same plastic blades(i got one of of those as well) ![]() if your fan DOES have those "U" shaped blade arms,it's friction drive system inside the plastic motor housing and labeled emerson "casablanca" and yes my brown one is indeed dated december 1979,i bought mine from seller though craigslist back in march 2009,i was told that he bought it brand new from montegomery ward back then and never installed/hook it up(not even once)and it's been up in his attic since then till the year 2009(is when he sold it to me)seller was first person to own it but i was the first person to run it as turn it on..etc and it said december 1979 on the fan's original box(so that's how i knew the date). here is a video of my emersons: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=odoSRiDBZ8M http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3RIIzOM1V0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMGkXJU7EY8 -------------------- “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." fun! I want a penguin clock! I was looking at them on ebay, but I couldn't decide which one I wanted. I should penguin-ize my bathroom! the penguin clock has the blue liquid inside(looks like penguin is swimming, the soap pump thing has blue liquid too,the statue does not but it's clear like a marble(very thick glass) -------------------- “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." I'm definitely going to have to look up penguin clocks and see if they sell anything like that anymore. |

I collect a lot of memorabilia about horseracing. Often they give away T-Shirts or calendars at the racetrack, free with admission. Many times I left with a "free T-Shirt" that 'cost' me $50 dollars!
I used to collect stamps when I was young, I have a small collection of coins, and I collect some music memorabilia. -------------------- Perception is everything

One of my friends collects Civil War and Star Trek. Strange combo, but I learned some interesting things. Has anyone been to a SciFi convention? They are a blast!

I don't go, but my little sister has been going for about 24 years, it all started when her and my mom went to a "Dr. Who"(Tom Baker) convention in San Jose, CA. My sister still helps on staff of some kind of convention ( sci-fi) every year. I also collected comic books and baseball cards when I was young, but threw almost all of them away years ago. -------------------- Perception is everything

Not a collector but I love boxes. I still have my iPhone boxes. But not just product boxes, little ornate boxes are my favorite, like music boxes, jewlery boxes, I've always wanted one if those Hellraiser boxes. Crates, foot lockers, hope chests. My God I love boxes!! Boxes boxes boxes!! Aaahhhhhh!!!
