Traffic Reports!
Hey folks we are back...with up to the minute Traffic Reports (sometimes).... Tonight there is no one on the forums at all right now except Idee.. QUOTE 60 user(s) active in the past 15 minutes Active Users 59 guests, 1 members, 0 anonymous members idecline, Google Crawler Obviously the count of members is correct as idecline is a member..... But what about this Google Crawler....it is not a guest, nor is it accounted for as being a member.... which makes it an Alien life form....the Accuweather Forums just let this creature wend its way through the Forums mining for information...and no one tries to stop it! In fact I think even the moderators and maybe even the mighty Weathermatrix( ignore the man behind the curtain) does not want to do battle with the Crawlers....I think the Crawlers are actually 'worms' No other Traffic back-ups or alerts to report...the severe weather may kick in tomorrow and the West may be getting another storm by Monday night, so these will areas to look for Traffic on Monday.... -------------------- Perception is everything

Traffic Reports!
Sorry for being off the air but we had not paid our parking fines to Accuweather for taking up so much space in the EE category and now folks: We are back...with up to the minute Traffic Reports (sometimes).... Spring Break is over and the Forums are back to their deafening silence...there has been enough severe weather to keep the regulars over in the Weather sections busy....The Tropics are just beginning to heat up (weather pun intended) ...the SoCal naysayers (It's a desert...folks!) are complaining about having some of the best weather in the world but fog and heat is really awful.... Alright enough 'editorial' content...there just isn't much traffic around....the top three posters were all gamers...and even JD as moderator didn't have many posts... Sorry to be depressing but the Hiways and Byways of the Forums are just not as busy..... Let's talk with a local 'WeatherForDummies#27' a former poster on Accuweather forums.. Spiff Underhand asks : " What happened to the traffic"? WeatherForDummies#27 answers; "Well everything was as usual around these parts until them big Social Media types decide to build a bigger, faster superhighway just over that ridge there. Now all that traffic that used to use these roads is over that thar hill." he said pointing to whereabouts unknown. " Heck these roads were packed, sometimes bumper to bumper during winter storms. But then that there crazy revivalist JB goes and changes churches and all, and pulls away most of the remaining members" Spiff: "Well there you have it, undocumented, total hearsay, positive proof of the traffic situation" "Thanks Spiff" ........and let's send everyone over to the sports and Weather desk...... -------------------- Perception is everything

Traffic Reports:
Traffic Reports are back on the air...... The Traffic Van was parked up by Battery Park, NY and boy it took a beating...but we did get a swift ride inland and ended up taking the Subway.... We apologize for not being on the air during the High Traffic mode on Hurricane Sandy but.... we were still on vacation and the van broke down by the river and we decided to camp out for the summer. With the new van we hope to get from FEMA...we are attempting to re-connect with all of the folks out there who are clamoring for traffic reports and up to the minute (sometimes) updates.... We are expecting a renewed vigor in the Traffic Department this Winter...especially depending upon the intensity of the ENSO/ El Nino pattern and how this possibly could affect the East Coast with more Nor'easters and possible snowstorms.. Tune in to our internet broadcasts and updates...whenever something happens....or not.... Feel free to report any exciting Traffic news or just pine away for the 'good old days'.... -------------------- Perception is everything

Traffic Reports:
Holiday Traffic: Thanksgiving is quickly approaching....One of the most highly traveled Holidays of the year! Airports will be packed with Holiday travelers from Sunday to Sunday....and return flights will probably may be more likely for delays than the flights before Thanksgiving due to a pretty calm weather pattern in most of the Continental US ...the West Coast is the only place where delays may be a big possibility for the next 2 days.... Driving is a-okay this year....Gas prices plunged after near record heights...especially in California where gas approached $5 dollars a gallon! Now it has fallen below $4.00 almost Statewide... Internet traffic has a real potential to be heavy this week with relatives, cooking, and homemaking skills likely to be oft read sites...as of course the old Thanksgiving standbys of Football and more Football..... The Forums may become very busy as a storm now building in the West is going to lead a series of disturbances across the country in the next week to ten days...the large persistent low in the Gulf Of Alaska and it's placement will be critical to the path that the jet stream takes in this period....Cold air stacked up in Canada wants to filter down although the amplification in the jet may determine how far south this air intrudes into the center of the country beginning late this Holiday weekend... Traffic records are unlikely to be broken as a Nor'easter nor a large snowstorm do not seem to be in the cards with what looks to be a zonal flow with a small wedge of cold coming down to interact after the progression of storms move eastwards... Thanks Skip for your unProfessional forecast based on home schooling.... growing up watching TV weather forecasts in the SF Bay Area..... -------------------- Perception is everything

Traffic Reports:
Here we are with Christmas quickly approaching and everyone is clamoring for a White Christmas... The EC crowd is all in a twitter(joke) to figure out where the rain/snow line will be in the upcoming storms Right now the Canadian cold air is coming down into the West and dropping our temperatures significantly for the next few days...this is a little a week after we had an intense blast of three moisture rich storms that with a sub-tropical connection dropped up to 12" or more of rain in the coastal hills of Northern and Central California...not surprising that the cold air would come surging down to battle and chase away that unusual (for non-El Nino) warmth and very wet conditions. The traffic pattern should remain high from now through Christmas as more people will have time and energy away from school to follow what should be an exciting two weeks of weather.. My gut feeling is that the pattern change that everyone is waiting for may occur right around Christmas and be strengthened by around the first of the year...If the Block in the East can retrograde towards the Hudson Bay area as Brett Anderson seems to think then we may start to see the snow totals picking up back East. Excitement: Accuweather posters are approaching the 1,600,000 post milestone very quickly...it looks like this number should be reached sometime today December 13, 2012......Hooray for everyone! From Accuweather 'Board Statistics' Our members have made a total of 1,599,560 posts We have 12,982 registered members Most users ever online was 1,740 on Oct 29 2012, 11:19 AM Have a safe Holiday Season...and be careful on your virtual and real travels out there.... -------------------- Perception is everything

Keep the White stuff North of the Mason-Dixon Line For now we are keeping the winter to the far, far Northeast ...... Traffic Reports: Like our top headline states the Traffic patterns on Accu have began to clear up finally.... After a flurry of activity for the past week on the Mid Atl/NE thread(s) expecting a doozy of a storm to materialize out of a model when the conditions and jet stream energy have not been cooperating.... If anybody had been looking upstream at a very vigorous Pacific jet blasting moisture over from the Western Pacific at very high speeds they might have realized the likelyhood of much amplification across the CONUS of the jet stream was fairly unlikely....the southern jet has kicked in as well and temps are gonna torch across the lower Southeast as gulf moisture is pulled in with the quick moving energy. This pattern put a big damper on everyone's snow hope-casting, with everyone using a spinnerbait...when the the lake is asking to be fished with a split-shot worm....these things take time y'know..... Now that all the people have proverbially 'Thrown In The Towel' to snow they may just find out that rain is a form of winter precipitation and that 'stormy', 'extreme', and snow and icy' weather are not the only types of weather.... Yes every one seems to like the nasty stuff.....but aren't high pressure systems a lot of what the weather is about.....clear, fog, windy, heat waves, sever cold blasts,...etc. aren't those all weather??? Let's stop the model hugging and learn about all types of weather and how the dynamics cause certain things to happen...then maybe we won't be stuck on crowded freeways trying to get to that 'virtual' snow...when it is simply a rainstorm and looked like that for about a week now.....(Idee is ranting! Traffic seems to have returned to it's usual boring levels...until the next "code Red" Winter weather model madness occurs.... Remember ....We will be there covering all of it ...up to the minute (sometimes).... -------------------- Perception is everything
