This time frame interests me. all i'm gonna say...total precip on the GFS for this timeframe. Taken from the 00Z...mostly snow. It's been shown for the last few runs now...just something i'm a weeee little bit curious about...but we'll see

Glad to see this storm finally up. I mentioned this possibility a day or two ago in another thread and had mentioned on the 18-19, that a storm could give Ottawa over 60 cm and parts of Quebec over 100 cm. Currently, for example, myforecast just updated their forecast and Ottawa is now going to look like Sherbrooke with just over 70 cm. So amounts have gone up even higher for Ottawa over the last day or two.
I don't know if this is all gonna happen since it's so late in the month/season, but we've had big snowstorms at the end of march and even april so I guess it could happen. EDIT: Toronto is at just over 76 cm over a three day period at myforecast. And I've never seen a weather agency use words like this in an official forecast before but myforecast has 'tons of rain" for Windsor on one of the days. I think it's way too early to be throwing 70cm out there. In 5 days from now this storm might not even exist. It's still 11-12 days away.
If this storm is still on the models by Sunday then we might have something to talk about. -------------------- Track winter storms with expert analysis on either one of my two blogs:

Well, the storm was on there two days ago, then it seemed to disappear yesterday, then this morning, it came back but with a change. It seems the larger amounts will now be in ontario rather than Quebec when it was the reverse two days ago.

Next 2 weeks look to me to be above normal and drier for southern ontario, nice to see really. I don't really see any cooler temps in the long range through to the end of the month. Snow cover in Toronto is totally gone now, finally feels like spring is around the corner.

I'm still waiting for that "sugar snow" fall that we get at maple sugaring time. Haven't seen any yet and at this rate, I don't think we will. Brett's interpretation of ECMWF weekly weather forecast show Ontario to be colder for the week of 21-27, perhaps this may be when we'll see a wee bit.
Also, this link was shared, could anyone please explain to me what it means?? Please? Thanks! http://www.nco.ncep.noaa.gov/pmb/nwprod/an...0/fp0_288.shtml |

http://www.weatherbell.com/jb/ As for this storm, -NAO is there, but so is the PNA. Can't have both... will move on from this system. enjoy the nice "springlike" warmth in the coming days! some of us may reach mid teens -------------------- follow me on twitter @coreywxelder

Looks to be all rain for everyone this time. You have to go way up north to get significant snow from the storm probably. Maybe southwestern Ontario could see severe weather from this one?

If, through some miracle or act of God, we get up to 16 degrees like EC says we will, I will be the happiest man on Earth. Can't remember the last time we were 15+

TWN is showing a possible 10+ cm of snow here on Sunday the 20th. Is that related to this same system, or is it something else? Sorry if it's a dumb question.
