The clouds South of I-70 kept the records at bay in MO and IL. However, in Western IA they are being shattered. 99 in multiple locations with dew points ranging from 30-65.

Frank Strait Wow, in Carroll, IA, it's 100 with a dewpoint of -2 at 4 p.m. local time. You expect that in West Texas but not in Iowa and especially not in May.

86 in Milwaukee today. Within one degree of a record high. Way too warm for my liking and even less desirable this time of year when the pools haven't been opened and lake waters are still freezing cold.

(sigh) yesterday was a nice morning, a bad afternoon temp wise.
I liked Thursday. Best temps of the warm-up.
