I know that is still VERY, VERY, VERY early, (I could not hold myself back from starting a new long-range thread on this topic so i kind of had to do it or it would have really bothered me a lot), to start posting, (or even thinking about
![]() This may be something that will most likely not be discussed until around late March or early April of next year, (2012), but it is just something that we should keep in our heads. So feel free to post your ideas and your thoughts on what you think will happen in the winter of 2012-2013, even though it may seem a very long ways away right now, but it will be December 1, 2012 before you know it!!!! ![]() ***BTW: after I start this topic, I will be starting a topic for the Long range forecast for the Fall of 2011, (i should have posted that one before I had posted about this one) ![]() |

I think that I may have jumped the gun way too early for this thread, does anyone here know how to delete a topic, because that may be necessary for this situation.

Well, things like this happen all the time, so just have it bookmarked and come back to it when the time is right. I agree, I was looking back and I had realized that the Winter 2009-2010 thread was started pretty early as well, so I do not have much to worry about. Thanks!! |

Cold decade on the way?? Yes - according to some: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/06/14/ice_age/ http://earthsky.org/space/major-drop-in-so...-scientists-say That would not be a good thing, because it will cause major famine, and that will in turn cause warfare, not a very good thing, lets just hope that it does not happen. But look on the bright side, at least Al Gore will be wrong, and then he will look very, very dumb. |

Old friend on Fox News business report discussing the "potential mini ice age". Actually he said he isn't jumping on the "ice age bandwagon" but says it is going to get colder.

HMMMM......... who should I believe? The one who has a degree in that field of science and who did very well in school........... Or the former politician who while he was in college had barley passed the required natural science course with a D-, and the only reason why he had passed was because of the fact the his daddy had paid a lot of money to get him to pass...... I think that I will go with the one who went to college in the field of science that this applies to!!!! ![]() ![]() |

I was just going to post a quit mention of what JB had mentioned last year with regard to this very same topic (but you have pretty much summed it up) with this article. But Yes JB mentioned late last Fall and early Winter that he felt beginning with the Winter season of 2012 and primarily 2013, we (North America) would begin to see down down right "FRIGID" Winter Temperatures to the magnitude of such that we haven's seen in a very long time. He also mentioned that he felt this would NOT be a short lived event...meaning that we could see some quite COLD weather for years to come during our Winters. Again this is only the feeling's according to JB last year, and is in no way a "Forecast" of any sort. |
