I hope this winter will be colder than last year for eastern europe. I read this topic which Slovremeblog shared with us.
The important part of us is "wetterprognose-wettervorhersage.de writes that the period September-November will be too cold and at times “considerably too cold”, and adds that eastern Europe and Scandinavia will lack precipitation. For the winter months of December – February: …Eastern and Northern Europe will be significantly too cold. In Germany the 2011/2012 winter prognosis today looks as follows: mainly normal, but with cold spilling in at times from the east or north – considerably too much precipitation in January and February, whereby January 2012 will be rated too cold (January is the coldest winter month). " 3 days later IRI Seasonal Forecast will be issue,I wonder what will be. See you later. |

The US winter forecast is out on Accuweather, but Europe's is not. I hope they will publish one for Europe.
Anyway with 30C in the forecast for Southern Romania today and tomorrow it hardly looks like autumn, let alone winter here. I also hope the drought conditions ease by December here because if not then it will be a dry winter and it won't matter how cold it will get. Cold without snow is borring! -------------------- Declared Snowaholic

Heyyy..where is everyone? We were already rolling at this time last year Hey my friend. I agree with you. We have to fire this topic like last year. Although saturday night, heavy rain starts in west of Turkiye until wednesday it will continue. We expect total 70-90 mm precipitations for Istanbul. These are first steps of winter. My forecast about winter is ; December to March for Eastern Europe , temperatures will be below averages and precipitations near to average or little below. I am waiting your forecast for 2012 winter. See you |

I am waiting your forecast for 2012 winter. See you it wont be as dry as u think it will be and this upcoming storm shows us how stormy it can get for the south-east Europe this winter given that all of the countries involved will get monthly amounts of rainfall in just two days ... few places that average 20'C by day at this time of the year will even see snow in this 8-12 storm --------------------

http://notrickszone.com/2011/09/06/another...forecasts-show/ __________________________________________________ SLOVENIAN WEATHER BLOG - http://slovremeblog.blogspot.com/ dont get ur hopes up based on this forecast cause we at the Balkans rarely get the taste of the central Europe storms .... but get ur hopes up cause the Mediterranean will be active earlier than last year ... i dont know about Slovenia but Bulgaria , Romania , Turkey , Macedonia and Greece region will be wetter than normal ... so it depends where the high pressure center is .... if its a little bit north of u , u wont get the amount southern regions will , but i think the blocking this year will be over Scandinavia for fair amount of time so ull get a lot of snow... --------------------

Looking foward to that storm starting tomorrow. First decent ammount of rain in almost 1 and a half months.
Looks like the real start of Autumn with this cold front crossing the continent. Lets hope we get a decent winter this year. Since the Accuweather US Winter Forecast was published I have been fancying moving to the States not to experience the "American Dream" but the "American Winter" they keep talking about... Off topic: hope the winter will have tons of snow here, the government issued a law making it mandatory to have winter tyres fitted from Nov 1st....of course during the last years were were lucky if we saw snow on Christmas let alone in November! -------------------- Declared Snowaholic
