The Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) has finally released their global surface temperature anomaly data for December 2011. According to GISS, the global land/sea combined temperature anomaly was +0.45 celsius or +0.81 F, making this past December the 9th warmest December in the GISS record going back to 1880. December of 2010 came in at +0.43 c. December 2011
