I understand. Seems like just getting ANY snow around here is rare these days, never mind those awesome "perfect" storms. I wonder if we will ever see incredible storms like the ones from the 70's again. Thanks once again for your help TW. I always appreciate your replies. No problem. -------------------- New blog for southern Ontario!

All of the streamers that hit burly/hamilton off of huron often come from a WNW direction. Nice to see a large band heading this way for a bit longer...

Near white-out conditions in Mount Brydges right now. Looks like a streamer is right over us!

Snow squall warning for Strathroy - Komoka - Western Middlesex County London - Parkhill - Eastern Middlesex County Watford - Pinery Park - Eastern Lambton County issued Snow squalls continue to the south and east of Lake Huron and the south of Georgian Bay. Local snowfall amounts of 15 cm are likely in snow squalls with snow continuing into this afternoon in some areas. In addition strong northwest winds gusting to 60 km/h will cause frequent very low to nil visibility in blowing snow. Motorists should note that dangerous winter driving conditions are possible due to zero visibility in bursts of heavy snow and blowing snow. Snowfall rates of 2 to 4 cm per hour are possible in these snow squalls. The snow squalls are expected to slowly weaken into flurries by late this afternoon. Please refer to your local public forecast for further details. |
