Well, it is now March. That means we sat through December, January and February -- a period usually full of snowstorm possibilities and white fantasies -- and came out with nothing. Nodda. Ziltch. No Noreasters to speak of. One or two light events came through, but whatever snow they dropped didn't last for long.
So I think it is time to name this winter that never was. To dub on thee a moniker that will sum up our feelings for the disappointing few months that we just experienced. And now, I'd like to take this moment to honor the Winter That Never Was, and to formally name it... The Great Brown Dud of 2011-2012 Please feel free to submit your own entries.
