#6. Are gas prices going to hit $5.00 before this November's election?
Speculators are in control of gas prices - not the supply/demand equation.

While it may be OK - out of a abundance of caution I'll use a cordless phone to talk on and wait until after the storm for a shower.

#10. Do you have a plan for disasters?( i.e. Where does the family meet if coming back from work or school and access to home is not available? Escape route from home in case of fire, storm, or other disaster? etc.) If not, it is never to soon to prepare ......

idecline, you rock! I'm so sorry that I overlooked the questions, folks. It was my turn to post them.
My plate is very full and it just entirely slipped my mind. Tough week last week.
Sorry, everyone and thank you again, idecline, for posting! Great job!

#1. What is your favorite beverage? Skim white milk.

#2. Do you use white eggs, brown eggs, egg substitute, or none at all? I use white eggs. The fresh farm ones I've tried are too strong for me.

#3. What is your favorite sandwich? Arby's Roast Beef sandwich loaded with Arby's sauce.

#4. Do you have a 'usual' bedtime? If so, what time is it? Between 9:30 - 10 pm.

#5. How many times do you hit the 'snooze' button on your alarm clock? If you still use one, or what?
I hit the snooze 0 - 2 times. It's only a 5 minutes snooze!

Serious stuff!

#6. Are gas prices going to hit $5.00 before this November's election? Nope.

#7. Do you have a disaster/earthquake preparedness kit in your home? We have the essentials in our basement, but they are not in a singular kit. Does that count????

#8. Do you know how to turn of the gas main to your home/apt.? No, should I????? unsure.gif

#9. Is it okay to take a shower or talk on the telephone (land line) during a thunderstorm? No, it is not. I know the chances are slim that you could be hurt, but the chance does still exist.

#10. Do you have a plan for disasters?( i.e. Where does the family meet if coming back from work or school and access to home is not available? Escape route from home in case of fire, storm, or other disaster? etc.) If not, it is never to soon to prepare ...... Nothing in that much detail. We only have a spot to meet in case of a house fire. We should get a plan for the other scenarios.

Yep. That and where the main water shut-off is. Both are most likely things you'll never need to use. Hopefully. But in the case of an emergency (gas leak, water leak, other major problem) they could be invaluable in saving your property, your life or both.

Everyone stay safe...have a great weekend...(what's left of it)......
#1. What is your favorite beverage? Diet Pepsi or Coke.

#2. Do you use white eggs, brown eggs, egg substitute, or none at all? White eggs.

#3. What is your favorite sandwich ? Ham, american cheese, bacon, honey mustard, lettuce on rye toast.
#4. Do you have a 'usual' bedtime? If so, what time is it? Nope. Bedtime varies from 10:00pm to 4:00am to not at all. Or when I'm working nights sometimes I don't go to bed until 8:00am. In all cases I'm up by noon.
#5. How many times do you hit the 'snooze' button on your alarm clock? If you still use one, or what? I seem to hit it more recently than I ever did before. I didn't discover the snooze button until college, it was a never-used oddity during my childhood days. Now I probably use it an average of twice.__________________________________________________

#6. Are gas prices going to hit $5.00 before this November's election? No.

#7. Do you have a disaster/earthquake preparedness kit in your home? I have everything I'd put in one but it's not in one single condensed location...

#8. Do you know how to turn of the gas main to your home/apt.? Yep.

#9. Is it okay to take a shower or talk on the telephone (land line) during a thunderstorm? Okay? Sure. But, only if you want to take a small, but real, risk of being zapped pretty bad. I don't do it.

#10. Do you have a plan for disasters?( i.e. Where does the family meet if coming back from work or school and access to home is not available? Escape route from home in case of fire, storm, or other disaster? etc.) If not, it is never to soon to prepare ...... Yes we have a plan. I don't have any kids at this point so it's not exactly a long involved or complicated plan. There's just two of us... laugh.gif

#1. What is your favorite beverage?

I'm having an inner conflict over coffee and diet Mt. Dew...guess I'll have to
give the edge to the Dew.

#2. Do you use white eggs, brown eggs, egg substitute, or none at all?

Sometimes white, sometimes the substitute.

#3. What is your favorite sandwich ?

Tuna salad sub w/lettuce, tomatos, onion and a splash of EVOO

#4. Do you have a 'usual' bedtime? If so, what time is it?

Depending on the shift I'm working...sometime between 10:00 pm and 2 am...
guess that would be a 'no.'

#5. How many times do you hit the 'snooze' button on your alarm clock? If you still use one, or what?

Never

#6. Are gas prices going to hit $5.00 before this November's election?

Don't think so.

#7. Do you have a disaster/earthquake preparedness kit in your home?

No but I should have, thanks for reminding me.

#8. Do you know how to turn of the gas main to your home/apt.?

It''s all electric

#9. Is it okay to take a shower or talk on the telephone (land line) during a thunderstorm?

I've done both but wouldn't recommend it to anyone else...simply because
I'm not sure just how dangerous either of them are.

#10. Do you have a plan for disasters?( i.e. Where does the family meet if coming back from work or school and access to home is not available? Escape route from home in case of fire, storm, or other disaster? etc.) If not, it is never to soon to prepare ......

We live (my son and I) in a pretty safe structure in a pretty safe area but I
would like to stress that no place can be determined to be
absolutely safe
from all disasters!
That being said, I have absolute confidence in myself to
handle most anything that may come up because when I go into 'survival
mode' I become a very calm, focused, and determined multi-tasker. It's
the ones who can't function in an emergency and need someone to tell
them what to do that should be worried.

And to all the people affected by the tornadoes and storms...Our thoughts and prayers go out to you!

You did great idee...thanks for coming through for us! smile.gif As for you Maw...
can't believe you get this done week after week after week....you're
amazing!
