NASA is launching 5 rockets tonight off the coast of VA to study the jet stream. They will be releasing chemicals that glow. I will be looking for them but may be to far north.

Couple links.

I care. Looking like our own area forecast for Sunday has isolated showers. Looked at the Wallops site and they said the window was from 12:00-1:30. Not the best time for going to work the next day.

Looks like they are GO for launch. Looks like they're beginning procedures. Initially, there was only a 10% chance of launch. It appears that the observation conditions from all recording stations have improved.

the live cast is interesting. They still don't think its going to happen, but counting down for practice. It may indeed be a go.

not tonight! Next attempt could be the one I think. Should be clear sandwiched between the HP and LP.

Hopefully the third time is the charm. The Wallops FB page speaks of good conditions at the beginning of the launch window so hopefully we won't have to stay up too much past midnight.

I would look for the live feed at midnight and wish for a t-15.00 counting down.

From what I gather, we'll be able to see the payload disperse, but not the rocket burn.
