Enjoy your long weekend everyone!
Next week looks rather cool & a bit showery and April as a whole doesn't seem as if it's going to feature a whole lot of long-lasting warm blasts as things stand now. |

Happy Easter everyone - I hope we get those showers next week (never thought I'd say that!). It's so dry and dusty here. It's amazing to watch how much dust the tractors in the fields kick up as they plow & plant. I even heard something on the radio about the lack of precipitation beginning to cause concern. |

Yes, I'm on a farm too and the quick demise of the snow and dry pattern thereafter is troubling. I'm planting soybeans this year so I've got a while to go yet before they can be safely sown. The showers next week look scattered but fairly persistent for a few days so hopefully by the time it's over they've amounted to something substantial. Here's the HPC's 5-day total precip:

Number of downloads: 0GFS shows some chances for more organized rainfall in the longer-term but of course it's hard to trust implicitly at that range. |

Happy Easter all, ^nice weather stuffradio...
The weekend wasn't too bad we hit 15c today, and the cool north wind finally settled down this afternoon, but the cool temps are coming back tomorrow and pretty much all week, with some showers which we need. Still the normal or slightly below normal temps get on my nerves after such a nice end of March. Seems every year April is the same, where is the normal or below normal temps in December...
