That guy is well known for exaggerating his snowfall totals on americanwx, but the picture looks close to 2". This fellow lives about 10 miles north of me and yesterday that meant the difference between being in a snow hole on radar like it was over my house, or getting steady snowfall like Tolland did.

I think I probably got close to 1.5" but I went back to bed after my 6:30am report of 0.8 when it was not snowing very much. It did start snowing heavily again not long after that until about 9am and accumulated some more. By the time I got up to check at 10:30am it was already melting and there was about 1" left.

It would be nice to have geographical breakdowns by region like americanwx has to talk about regional weather as yesterdays storm was not an accumulating snow producer south of the Northern part of Southern New England.
