Meh...
This pattern favors EPAC activity over Atlantic any day. GFS truncation seems to make the 850 vort too broad, thus developing the low on the ATL side. -------------------- -Mike P

All over again... And hey, thatīs how it should be anyway. Welcome back! There's still half a month left until the hurricane season starts, although some of the GFS runs are trying to get an early start going on near the SW Caribbean/E Pacific region, putting more of the focus on the East Pacific which is where I'd expect to see any development over the next 2 weeks take place. At least the GFS is down to somewhat more reasonable scenarios after trying to bring a tropical cyclone into Miami and almost up the coast -------------------- Visit my weather website for the NYC area

Welcome back!
