The National Weather Service has a "Hydro-Met Data Report" site that shows precipitation amounts for 24 hours for various locations. e.g. http://www.srh.noaa.gov/productview.php?pi...6MTR&max=61
Are there sites that show the rainfall accumulations for week, month, year? If so what are they? If not, why not?

The Forestry Service for your state has excellent rainfall data (gauge). The CoCoRAHS CoCoRAHSwebsite has excellent rainfall(gauge) records. Between the two, you get a good rainfall coverage and history. I trust rain gauge readings over NWS radar estimates. The NWS radar values are still troubled by overestimation errors. I use these rain gauge measurements all the time for my website map here in NW Florida.
