Maybe our next chance at some good rains (since April 23rd) will come in this period.

If only it was January... there would've actually been a winter and most would've had a Dec-Feb total snow pack that lasts longer than 2-4 days.

Its been so long I almost forgot there was a thread for this. Then again.. Nothing substantial was being shown for days. Looks like latest GFS has something developing again now.

NAM and GFS both look to have showers for the next several days and attempt to develop a low just off NJ on the 10th. The NAM is closer to the coast than the GFS. Not a very strong storm and it forms along a warmfront so this could easily be a non-event, definitely shower activity and cloudy again this week:

If Euro verifys there's less qpf. Looks like limited sun this week ... again.

Local mets saying NNE might jackpot with this one. Meanwhile, NYC once again might be shafted; the timing is appearing to be slower, resulting in the rain staying to the west on Tuesday, quickly moving through overnight, and settling to the east on Wednesday. Good thing that the drought isn't as bad as it was before, but with the region still under a moderate drought and with no widespread rain showing up over the next 7 days (and beyond perhaps?), hopefully it's not the start of a new trend. -------------------- Visit my weather website for the NYC area

CMC, GFS, NAM have some shower activity for the next couple days, heavier stuff staying in PA moving NE from there then low developing off the coast on Thursday anywhere from NC to LI and it heads NE from there. Shows some showers but no mod/heavy rains are on land until you get up around E-LI on north and east.

just looked at the radar, is all that rain staying to our north and west? Most of it, we'll get a little bit from the tail end when it rolls through on it's way NE. You can see by the QPF map posted above that PA/NY/NE are going to get most of the rain from this one and then coastal sections into the NNE will get the majority from the coastal if it develops on Thursday. -------------------- ![]() |
