I have a research paper do tommorow. I did most of it tonight, and I accidently hit "no" to the save question when I closed it. I lost everything but the first 2 paragraphs, the heading, and a few sources.

SAVE everything somewhere until you are SURE you no longer need it!

Save periodically during typing your paper too, so if you lose anything it won't be much.

But listen to other's advise and don't get so caughtup in your work that you forget to save-as-you-go! Do let us know how it turned out...did you stay up all night re-doing it?

Some systems save every 10 minutes or so. Check your temporary files to make sure it isn't there. -------------------- Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. I did the same thing once too. Typed 600+ words for an extra credit assignment, I said no to save, and boom, it was gone. The feeling when at happens is terrible.

When creating a document that REALLY means something.
Save it to a permanent named file very shortly after starting it! Remember CTRL S is your Friend. Use your friend frequently. I got above an 88, I was told.
