I have a research paper do tommorow. I did most of it tonight, and I accidently hit "no" to the save question when I closed it. I lost everything but the first 2 paragraphs, the heading, and a few sources.

Save periodically during typing your paper too, so if you lose anything it won't be much.

Some systems save every 10 minutes or so. Check your temporary files to make sure it isn't there. -------------------- Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. Wings: No, it is incomplete right now. Maw: How do you see those? I have Word. I am not at home on my PC right now, but let me direct you without looking. Go to your C: drive. There should be something in there labeled Temporary Files. If you don't see it, do a search for "temporary files" of your hard drive for it. It's got to be there somewhere! I just have to ask - Did you print it out before losing it? -------------------- Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. Nope. Redid it last night, handed it in today. Awww, I hope you did well on it, I'm sure you did! that my computer has a "Search Programs and Files" feature that you see immediately when you click the Windows globe in the bottom left hand corner. Enter either the title of your paper or a key word in it and it will show you everything related to it. I have found sooooooo many lost items by using that and it only takes a second or two. You can share that grade if you wanna ~Curious Wings -------------------- The truth is, everyone is going to hurt you. You've just got to find the ones worth suffering for. ~Bob Marley |

I did the same thing once too. Typed 600+ words for an extra credit assignment, I said no to save, and boom, it was gone. The feeling when at happens is terrible.

I got above an 88, I was told.
Also, off topic, I still have a test to take to mke it, but I could make advanced math! That would mean skiping Math 8, and going to Algebra 1, of I'm correct. This post has been edited by The Day After Tommorow: May 16 2012, 03:34 PM -------------------- SvrWxWARN |
