We have plenty of snow here in Greensburg. We haven't had any monster storms but the ones we've had have been frequent. The snow has accumulated into nice amounts.

Saw on local news yesterday that it snowed 22days out of 28 in Jan totalling 30inches....never realised it. Did not get any big ones but couple of inches everyday does add up I guess. Now I hope the groundhog day snowstorm will actually happen...lol

The over/under on the highest temperature in Pittsburgh this summer is 89.5. Are you taking the over or the under?

Wow, looks like anybody who took the over on that bet wins. The high temperature reached 90 degrees on May 30, and 91 degrees on May 31.
Now what do you wanna bet that those two days will be the hottest days of the year in Pittsburgh? *lol* |

Is the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh measuring its temperature properly? Are other National Weather Service offices to the west measuring their temperatures improperly? It seems like Cleveland, Columbus and Detroit have no problem reaching 94, 95, 96 degrees during heat waves, yet in Pittsburgh the temperature during those same heat waves is 90, 91, 92 -- if it even reaches the 90's at all.
Does Pittsburgh have its thermometer next to a creek or something? I'm seriously beginning to doubt if Pittsburgh's average high temperature is even higher than Cleveland's average high temperature, considering Cleveland always has a higher maximum temperature during the summer, and considering Pittsburgh hasn't even seen 95 degrees since 2002, while cities to the west have at least one such day per year, except when the summer is cooler than normal for most of the eastern U.S. This post has been edited by Gnutella: Jun 8 2011, 06:35 PM |

I live in a semi-rural area and it never got over 84 today and I was outside and it felt quite nice. But AW and others are reporting it was in the 90's and realfeel around 102. Baloney! maybe in the city but not out here. I think the weather people out here have the thermometer in the middle of a parking lot in downtown Philly. |

Do U guys know what this winter is going to be like? Seen any predictions? I heard on one of the news broadcasts that it was suppose to be a "stormy" Winter. It might have been on CNN but I can't remember for sure. -------------------- Do not follow where the path may lead.
