It's time for a change in the color set that we use for AccuWeather.com radar images. We would like to get opinions from the weather enthusiasts and meteorologists on this forum. Click Here to take they survey through a third party. No personal information is required.

I've noticed when looking at severe storms that Accuweather's colors seem a lot lighter then other weather sites. I voted for #2, just because I think the darker colors make storms seem more realistic then what they are currently using. In reality, it's not about what's appealing to the eye, it's what helps the public in the time of need. However, the darker colors would also give these people a heads-up that what they are about to experience could be life-threatening. I really do believe the meteorologists at Accuweather do a great job. I think Henry is very knowledgable about the weather, and he's a fan of the huge storm. Deep down inside, we're ALL fans of the huge storm. We wouldn't be here otherwise. I think Brett does a good job handling the Canadian weather scene, which I follow nearly every day. I'm not too familiar with Jesse's blog, but I know if you have over ten years experience you must be doing something right. To have that kind of staying power shows that he has great talent in this field. THE POINT OF THE POST: To help the public and to better show impending dangers, I feel that they should go with the brighter color schematics! Thank you...
