Hey guys hows it going, I have been checking into this forum for the past couple of winters now and have posted a little bit, but I also haven't introduced myself. My name is Anthony, I'm from Hamilton and attend McMaster University. Weather is also a side hobby as mine, a big one though. Im studying political science at Mac. As the winter gets cranked up I will def be on this forum on a regular, regular basis so Ilook foward to a lot of weather talk over the next couple of months. Thanks Again, and LETS GO SNOW!!!!!

Hello everyone,
my name is Jay and I live just west of Ottawa. I enjoy winter, as long as there is a lot of snow (yet to see much this way so far) . Although as I age, I enjoy warm weather more every year!!! Does anyone know how to get there personal photo to appear on replies. I see it on my settings profile page, but not in when posting replies. |

Hi All!
I’m from Dundas, Ontario and I’m a bit of a weather enthusiast. I’m not that big a fan of winter (I prefer shorts and flip flops), but I do love storms, especially snow storms. I’ve been in and out of this forum for the last year or so. It’s a great source of information and I really appreciate all the great input from the experts. |

Hello everyone!
I'm from just outside Ottawa (Aylmer, QC). I'm a complete fan of winters and can't wait to see what 2011 brings (Maybe 2010 was just saving up for 2011 snow?) and to learn more about the maps and the charts. So I guess I'll see you guys in the threads Merry Christmas, Aylmer |

Hello everyone!
My name is Jon, been living here in the small town of Midland, Ontario all my life so far, and just recently started being interested in weather. As of late mostly became interested in due to the fact of having a tornado here back in June 2010, with ZERO warning, heck at the time I dont even remember seeing a thunderstorm forecast on that day. Happened to stumble apon this website a few weeks later while looking for ways to get my weather information, and been lurking ever since. My favorite season(s) are easily Spring and Fall. Not too hot (usually) and not snowing quite yet. (also... usually) Cant say I have super amounts of knowledge in weather, but mostly trying to absorb information on knowing what to look for with all these weather maps. Now if only the SPC would cover Southern Ontario.. |

Hello everyone,
My name is Ethan, I live in Toronto,On and I have been very interested in weather since the epic winters of 2007-08 and 2008-09. My favourite season is the winter and I love tracking winter storms the most out of any type of weather although I love a hot summer day and tracking severe weather here in Southern Ontario. I hope to continue to share my thoughts here on the forums! -------------------- |

Hi, I'm mad about snow. I moved from the UK over a year ago and chose to live in Barrie partly because of the snow. As I write this a streamer is dumping on us...love it. Last year may have been a rubbish winter, but we had a narrow band of squalls dump 44cm overnight on us one night in Feb...never seen that much in my life.
Been obsessed with the weather since I was a kid, my school friends called me the weatherman. Been reading this forum for a week and really impressed by the depth of knowledge and skill of some of the members. Look forward to reading, and occasionally commenting. |

This is my 2nd Canadian/Newfoundland winter also, come from UK and also mad about snow though I am here for a woman, the snow was not my reason. People call me the weatherman too Last winter was below average for snowfall though still around 2.5 metres, it seemed a heck of alot to an Englishman. It's funny how quickly you adapt though, 5-10 even 15cm doesn't even raise an eyebrow with me now where's as back in England that was huge and something rarely seen (certainly prior to 2009 back to the mid 90's, can remember some winters with barely a dusting) This post has been edited by newfiebrit: Jan 24 2013, 09:50 AM |
