I'm not great at linking so I'll give address to view
www.erh.noaa.gov/btw/events/15Jan2009/images.shtml

You may have to type it in to get there, or just go to NWS
Burlington VT front page to find.

Really neat pics of waterspouts occurring on the lake
with temps near zero!

Wow... that reminds of one storm that came through during TS hanna last year! It was so weird... very fascinating clouds that day! Alot of spinning...

Great pics!

first i wanted to say its a priviledge to be on this forum second- i have an interesting question- while i do not have enough money at this time to get a good camera to take lightning pictures for the moment i have a sanyo hd camcorder to take videos- now on february 26th i was making a lightning video and i uploaded the video to my computer and downloaded some software to where i can take still frames from the video to make pictures out of- my problem is some of them didn't turn out and some of them did- i'll post a few that did turn out and i'll post a few that did turn out

heres a few that did

nows heres a few that did not turn out

note on the last one half the frame is messed up- how can i prevent that? now these were all from the same video- that i am not sure why some didnt turn out and some did- i had it on nightshot instead of regualar i mean i am not sure if that would be why or not? any suggestions?

Donny

Took a couple amateur shots the other day. That storm was in the distance and moving toward us... and then it dissipates. darn. Sigh. Anyway got a couple today before the battery died. Taken in Ballston Spa, Upstate New York.

This was a pretty good storm we got today, one after another. Very heavy rain, high winds, and lots of lightning. Gotta love it. Too bad the battery died after two shots.
