Oil has gone up FAR more than gasoline, gas has to go up a LOT more before it will catch up. Be prepared for higher gas prices, a LOT higher gas prices. In other words: It is going to get worse before it gets better. I agree completely. Gas will hit $5/gal sometime during the summer and maybe $6 by Labor Day, but hopefully by then I can transfer to a full time spot at MacArthur airport, which is only half as far as I go to work at Kennedy. I do find it funny that gas is cheaper in the city (NYC) than it is where I live...ridiculous if you ask me. Old gas pumps can't handle ever-rising prices
By JOHN K. WILEY Associated Press Writer REARDAN, Wash. (AP) -- Mom-and-pop service stations are running into a problem as gasoline marches toward $4 a gallon: Thousands of old-fashioned pumps can't register more than $3.99 on their spinning mechanical dials. The pumps, throwbacks to a bygone era on the American road, are difficult and expensive to upgrade, and replacing them is often out of the question for station owners who are still just scraping by. http://wokv.com/common/ap/2008/05/13/D90KIHAO2.html -------------------- Never too old to have a happy childhood! .......... ..........![]() Don't put an age limit on your dreams! |

it's around 3.30-3.50 in some places here...gas is getting ridiculous..there is no need for it to be this high

Surprised gas only went up 5-8 cents since yesterday with the large run-up on crude prices....diesel shot up a quarter though! Reg around 3.10, diesel around 3.50 here.
